Who Was Rocky?
Cpl. Paul “Rocky” Zanowick II gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country in Afghanistan on Friday, June 3, 2011. Rocky’s Run For Freedom is dedicated to celebrating his legacy and supporting veterans.
He was a member of Boy Scouts of America Troops 103 and 402, Venturing Crew 357, involved in both C.Y.O. and high school track, a 2006 graduate of Miamisburg High School, attended Sinclair Community College and joined the United States Marine Corps on January 22, 2008. Rocky is survived by his son Uriah; parents, Paul W. and Nanette Zanowick of Miamisburg, OH; sister, Nicole Smith-Zanowick of Miamisburg, OH.
